Carl Betts

Carl is the Pensions Manager at Open Trustees and is fully accredited as a professional trustee by the Association of Professional Pension Trustees. Carl is responsible for the management of the team, and predominately works on our ongoing scheme appointments.

Carl has over 19 years’ experience in providing pensions administration, consulting and actuarial services. His specialist areas are scheme secretarial, scheme governance and investment strategy. He has advised on numerous projects and scheme changes with his clients including bulk annuity purchases, member options exercises and benefit changes.

Carl holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning, the Pension Management Institute’s Certificate in Pension Scheme Member Guidance, and has passed all Advanced Diploma Pensions exams provided through the CII. Carl is also a former adviser for the Pensions Ombudsman’s Early Resolution Team.
